The news came out as competitors entered the gates to Nightwind Training grounds on Friday. Tammy Totten had been rushed to Huntsman Cancer Institute at the University of Utah during the week and would not be able to attend the trial. She has been diagnosed with Stage Four Cancer of the Pancreas now into the liver and spleen. Tammy is beginning chemotherapy and will need all of your prayers and support!
Flowers and Cards may be sent to: 2426 Highway 41 South, Twin Bridges, MT 59754.
Donations to help the Tottens defray the many expenses they will incur may be sent to: Kerri Payne, PO Box 438, Gallatin Gateway, MT 59730 Phone 406-763-5354
Bill and Tammy let everyone know that it was important to them that the trial go on as planned. Their families traveled many miles to step in and take over the BBQ for the tailgate party Friday night, and their strength during this difficult time was amazing and inspiring.
Much credit must go to Mike Heard who stepped in and took over as field trial chairman and Julie Heard who met entrants at the gate, advised them of the circumstances and directed them to the appropriate stakes. Many thanks also go to judges Tom Brannan, Bob James, Alan Madsen, Shonene Garrison, Maruine Coleman, and Bert Huth who took time out to judge on his 50th wedding anniversary; Cindy Huff for marshaling the open and staying until the end of the Am, Marylin Bracken for taking care of the judges and marshaling the Qual, David French who ran birds and helped clean up, Dave and Mary Lee Hooks who worked all day Saturday, Lorna Kolstad who marshaled the derby, Kerri and John Payne who set up and shot flyers in the Open, to all the pro’s who brought help to work in the field, to all of the handlers who made an extra effort to be at the stakes when needed, and anyone else who helped that isn’t mentioned here.
Congratulations to all that placed below and again keep Bill and Tammy in your prayers.
