FC Moonstones Ignites on Impact

Congratulations to Debra Ziegler of Red Bluff, CA, on her new FC, Moonstones Ignites on Impact!

Debra purchased Flint from Moonstone Labradors in Montana when he was 7 weeks of age and brought him home to California. She was looking for a competitive hunt test dog for the Master National. Warren Grimsby had helped her with hunt test training, and she learned his program with her other dogs. Continuing to do her own training, Debra really enjoyed teaching Flint the basics. He blew through every hunt test he was entered in, Junior, Senior, and Master, never failing a test, and then qualified for the Master National 2008. 

Since Debra had never owned a field trial dog, she decided to seek out more advanced training for Flint and herself. She attended a Dave Rorem seminar in January of 2008 and felt that this is where Flint should be. He went to Rorem Retrievers at the end of March, and they ran him at his 1st Open in July that year. Flint went on to win the Open that December at Southern Oklahoma RC. Earning a couple Jams and RJ in-between, his next placement was an Open 1st again at Piney Woods RC October 2009. Flint is now an FC and Qualified for the 2009 National Championship!
