Illinois Veterinary Open House Slated for Sunday, April 11

The University of Illinois College of Veterinary Medicine invites animal enthusiasts of all ages to its annual Open House on Sunday, April 11, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. The state’s only veterinary college–one of only 28 in the nation–is located at 2001 S. Lincoln Ave. in Urbana, Ill.

This free event offers a behind-the-scenes look at the college and its Veterinary Teaching Hospital. Organized by students in the college’s four-year Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree program, Open House is a great learning opportunity for everyone from aspiring veterinarians who want to find out about admission to veterinary school to animal lovers of any age who want to know more about animal health and the biological sciences. There will be more than 40 fun and educational booths, demonstrations, and activities for all ages.

This free event is open to the public and requires no registration. Although this event celebrates animals of every kind, please leave your pets at home.
