This week on the AKC’s Genome Barks series, they welcome Dr. Cynthia O’Connor.  Dr. O’Connor is currently pursuing advanced specialty training in the area of veterinary medical genetics, pediatrics, and reproduction at the University of Pennsylvania’s School of Veterinary Medicine.

In this podcast, Dr. O’Connor discusses the importance of knowing what is “normal” in parturition and whelping as well as recognizing the signs of a female in whelp and determining the whelping date.
